Stefanie Chrisanne Kanack was born November 19th 1992. She grew up in the country loving the outdoors. Her passion for animals and the outdoors was evident early in her life. She got her love of animals from her mom and her love of the outdoors from her dad.
Stef would rather be outdoors than in; she couldn’t wait to be in the woods, on the boat, on the back of a Harley or a horse. Her favorite time of the day while hunting was: “Just before dawn in the woods, before the world woke up, to watch the sun rise, and listen to the birds start singing”.
She would look forward to deer season every year, helping her dad prepare for the hunt was as much fun to her as hunting itself. Stef has been deer hunting, bear hunting and antelope hunting out west. She has mounts of each to show for it. She also enjoyed fishing when she got the chance to.
Stef was a natural artist, drawing and painting was her time to unwind and recharge. Along with being an artist, she was a talented writer too. She was just beginning to explore that gift.
Stefanie lived what she learned, she had many influential people in her life that taught her compassion, perseverance and to be grateful for what you have, and not complain about what you didn’t have.
Stef was known for her blunt honesty-which drew people to her for advice. She had a great sense of humor, and enough compassion to help any and every one. Unfortunately, she seldom opened up to seek advice or help from others; she always put on a strong front.
What everyone that loved her didn’t know about her, was that she was suffering in silence. That strong, generous, life of the party, I can do anything personality was hiding something we all wish every day that she would have shared with us.
In our grief, all we can do is try to continue on with what was important to her, and try and help find a way to give others hope when they don’t see it, faith when they don’t feel it and love when they need it most. With all our heart and soul, we love you and miss you immeasurably each and every day.
